The prop was to show how AncestryDNA helps you “find the real you”. Upon research I found quite a big reddit community for the brand. People swapping stories about how they found out their dad wasn’t their real dad, or, how they’re secretly adopted, or, how their their dad lied about their native heritage and they’ve been unconsciously culturally appropriating their whole identity.
